Ok so I hear a lot about this renting points thing and I'm trying to decide if it fits into our budget. Is it usually a cheaper alternative then paying for a villa? How much does it work out to be? I know it depends on the resort and room size and time of year etc... I know I want to go in early Dec 2015 honestly not even too picky in the resort. Just curious where I would even begin and what I'm looking at as far as price goes. Thanks for any info

When renting you can either go through a broker such as our sponsor The Timeshare Store or through a person. If you decide to go through a person, please take the time to read the sticky under DVC.

If you want to see what TTS has available, just follow the steps below from their recent newsletter.

We now have points available for rent at $12 a point. If you are interested in renting we need the following information emailed to sales@dvcstore.com.

If you want to use points for a reservation we need the following information emailed to sales@dvcstore.com
Date Checking In:
Date Checking out:
Resort Desired:
Size of room:
Names for those staying in the room: (Please put ages next to any children under 18 and include last name for each guest)
Home address:
Phone number:
Please indicate if you will need Magical Express:

To find out the cost, you can look at the points charts and multiply the number of points by the cost per point.

If they don't have what you need you could also try David's Vacation Club Rentals.

Keep in mind, when renting points, you usually need 50% down and 50% at check-in. Rentals are non-refundable. Also, if free dining or another promotion would come up you would not be eligible.
