Default how long to wait to buy MNSSHP tickets?

We leave in 12 days for WDW. I would like to go to the party on 9/29/09 but haven't bought tickets yet. What are the odds that we will be able to get tickets when we get down there on the 26th? Or will it be sold out? Should I order them now, and where do I pick them up when we get there? (I think it's too late to have them mailed to me). Thanks!

If it's very important to you to you to go to the party, I wouldn't wait until you get there. Order the tickets now and you can pick them up at guest services at any of the theme parks.

We bought our tickets once we knew we wanted to go. I agree with MNNHFLTX to not wait until you get there. Plus getting them in advance saves you a couple of dollars as well. Not much, but still money in your pocket.

We picked ours up at Guest services at DTD the night that we arrived. It was painless!

They also have E-ticket now at no charge and you can print them off from your computer. I just bought mine today, can't wait!

From a purely financial standpoint I'd buy them now if you were certain you are going to go, because (correct me if I'm wrong) they are more expensive at the gate. I think there is only $5 or less in the difference, but still. We'll be heading back home on the 29th

I agree w/ the other posters -- as soon as you've decided you want to go, you may as well buy your tickets online. (You can also check availability for each night online.)

We didn't actually book ours until we were in the parks, made a call from the courtesy phone in Guest Services at DHS.

If I'm not mistaken, last year some nights that were only a few nights out were slightly discounted. I assume this is because they were trying to up the attendance numbers.

That's a Tues I highly doubt it will sell out. The most important thing to us is nice weather so we wait to see the forcast and have never had a problem a few days ahead. We are looking at that same night to go ourselves.
