    Default POR request question

Is booking a room with a trundle/murphy bed merely a request at POR (as in you can request it but they won't promise it) or can I book it as such and be guaranteed one?

    Thank you!

Well, if there are 5 in your party, you will get one for sure.

Otherwise if you have 4 or less in your party, I am pretty sure it is just a request that they will do their best to accomodate.

Am I a huge disney fan? YOU BETCHA! I blame it all on my parents! They are the one's that walked around Disneyland all day to induce labor! Yep, I've been going to Disneyland since the day before I was born!

Like mentioned, if you don't have 5 in your party it's just a request and you may or may not get it !!

For years when we stayed there we booked as a family of 5 and always got a trundle bed in Alligator Bayou. Good luck.

    Thank you all for responding.

    Here's the dilehma....

We are 5 but the youngest will be 2. He now wants out of his crib so for our trip in august he will probably be sleeping in a bed....but he's still under 3. I guess I can just state that when I book. Unless of course we can save enough to stay at AoA

I am pretty sure that still counts as 5. Make sure you have your 2 year old on your reservation.

Our first WDW trip we stayed at POR with 2 adults and 3 kids, 4,3 & 18 months.

Our youngest was on the reservation and thus qualified us for 5 in the party and were given the trundle bed room.

How did you make out room wise? Were you crowded?

It was a little bit crowded, but not too bad. It certainly better than a value resort was with 5 when our youngest was under 3.

We thought it was just fine though. We use some space saving tips we use on cruise ships that help too.

Best tip there is go get an over the door shoe holder from walmart/target. they are under $10 and you can use all those pockets to store toiletries, toys, wipes, etc. that is a great way to keep a lot of little things organized, easy to get to and out of your way when your not using it.

Otherwise, we were fine with the space. (granted the room at the poly was much more room and was way easier to find plenty of space - but 7 days poly or 14 days por.... POR here we come!)

What a GREAT tip! I've never thought of that but will definitely be doing it. Got any others? ;-)
