Although there is probably a better way, in my no-numerpad laptop days I used to:
open a word document
insert the degree sign "°"
do a lower case "o"
insert another degree sign "°"
Then, just cut and copy to where you want it
°o°
Hope it helps!

I typically use the "Insert" drop down on the top panel and select "symbol". You will find a degree sign there.

Windows also comes with a program called Character Map, usually under Accessories, System Tools.
You can copy/paste from there...

If you have a numberpad, you can make the degree sign by holding down the "alt" key and typing (on the numberpad) 167.

Did you type 1-6-7 in that order, or all at the same time?
To get the degree sign, hold down the alt key, and (on the numeric keypad to the right), type 1, then 6, then 7 in that order.
Disney is life......the rest is just details!

I just did and just got a degree sign.... one ear? Is the Mickey head a zero or an O?

Awesome!
I've always used an O, since it looks "fuller" and more like the circle of the Mickey head, but if you like the 0, then go for it, I don't think it matters too much

on my mac book pro, I can alt0, 0, then alt0

its actually 176 on the number pad 176=° 167=§. Hold Alt and type in 176 on the num pad.
°o° copy it to a text file on ur laptop just cut n paste when ya want to use it. Also most laptops have number pads on them but they are "blue keys" on the qwerty keyboard. you can hold the Fn (function) key and probably alt that may work and type in 176. cut n paste, alot easier °o°
