I've stayed at all except Coronado Springs. However, it has been years so I do not know how the years have affected them! What is your favorite, if your going to pay the extra $100 a night over the values, which moderate resort would it be for? Or, would you pick Art of animation or Pop Century over them ?

My vote is CSR. We love the ease of transportation, beautiful grounds, pool, food. We stay there every time!
Riverside for me. But I am probably a little bias on that because it was the first one we stayed at on our first trip.
Mine is the French Quarter.
* stayed at more then once
Yacht Club, POR, POFQ,CSR,All Star Sports*,
CBR,Pop Century*,CR,WL,FortWilderness* Animal Kingdom lodge,All Star Music*.
It's been a few years since I've stayed at any of the moderates but my favorites are Port Orleans French Quarter and Coronado Springs resort.

I have only stayed at two, CBR and POFQ. Of those I prefer POFQ. I like the smaller size and that there is only one bus stop for that resort.

Many visits. Live 20 minutes from the parks.
Work at Universal Studios in Diagon Alley. Ollivanders/ wand magic.
1. CBR
2. POF
3. POR
I like them all, but in that order.
Never stayed at the CSR...

I've stayed at all the moderates and can say there's not really a "best." They all have positives. I think it's much more about which theme you like. For instance, CBR would be my absolute least favorite. Not because there's anything wrong with it but because I live at the beach. I see beach stuff every day of the year so I don't want that at a resort, but it's still a good resort.
Are they worth it over the values? Only if you plan to take advantage of the amenities. If you're a park commando and only sleep at the resort, no, it's not worth it. If you enjoy pool time and some of the extra perks of a resort, they're definitely worth it.

We have stayed at them all. I'll list them in order of our preference.
1. CBR - We like the beachy/tropical theme.
2. POFQ - Liked the smaller size of this resort.
3. CSR - Stayed once, never had a desire to return, but it was nice.
4. POR - We just don't like this resort. Being from Louisiana perhaps has something to do with it, just not a fan.

I would also vote for POFQ, if we were going to spend the extra. Love its compact size and "feel".
But we also love Pop Century and most of the time, the $$ is a big factor for us.

We've stayed at all four and love all four. Each have something to offer:
POR: I love the morning walk, winding through the Alligator Bayou, past Ole Man Island (theme music playing,) to the Riverside Mill food court. Plus, love boat ride to DTD.
CSR: Pepper Market is my favorite moderate food court. Beautiful Lake. Best sit-down restaurant (Maya Grill) of the four mods.
PFQ: Quaint. Perfect. Not a bad room in the resort. Boat ride to DTD. "Freshly-made Beignets!" 'Nuff said.
CBR: Big. Lots of activities. Love eating outside the food court, overlooking the lake with the pool-commotion noise in the background.
If I think real hard, the resort I'm most excited to return to is POR. But I don't think there's a bad choice in the lot.

I've stayed at CSR the past 6 years and truely enjoy the stay. The only other moderate I have stayed at is CBR and prefer CSR. I've heard nice thing about POFQ and plan to stay there on an upcoming trip. CSR is laid out beautifully and the fitness center and spa are a tipping point for me over the other moderates.
