Cant say Ive booked a serious vacation before. Just the usually florida weekend trips. So if I may ask, which is the best way to book and try to save a alittle cash? I would like to stay on site of course. So how far inadvance should i book a seven day trip?

I belong to AAA. And also have disney visa points. Would it better to use AAA, Magical Journeys, or go through disney???

Im putting things together and brainstorming. Havent picked dates but would like to go end of oct or beginning of November. Just gathering ideas and info before I call an agency.

Thanks

I always save my VISA points for the purchases I make in the park Smile

FYI: We are going the week of November 2nd, toward the end of the week there is a marathon and I think it may get a little crowded.

I always book through Magical Journeys, they get me the best deal and I don't have to worry with that hassle.

go MJ for the booking and I use the visa points for all our food purchases, better than the dining plan!

No matter who you book through the price will be the same. AAA has their discounts but the only time their discounts are better than the standard Disney discounts is when Disney isn't offering a Discount. Booking through Disney is a roll of the dice. Sometimes you get a really good Cast Member and sometimes not. So, Magical Journeys is without a doubt the best option. It costs you nothing to use them, they can find and book any discount available to you, and from then on you'll deal with the same agent on every vacation so it's always the same wonderful person. Wendy is just part of our family now after 10 years of booking vacations for us. Good heavens, she's been with the family longer than my youngest son! Grin

Use Magical Journeys and the ALL the work is done for you:cloud9:

They are amazing. They will watch for any discounts that should come along, so you don't have to. If there is a deal out there they will get it for you:mickey:

We have used Kathy for years and i would highly recommend using her. Although I think everyone associated with MJ will be great:thumbsup:

In the past I have booked extended stays through Walt Disney Travel. At times I hooked up with a Cast Member that somehow seemed to give me a deal that was far better than I expected. But this was not consistent.

The past two vacations I have used Magical Journeys (Wendy) and I will continue to use them. I enjoy knowing that if any deals come up between my time of booking and my actual vacation time, they will update my reservations to reflect this.

Are you thinking Fall 2014 or 2015? If this year - book it NOW. If next year - book no later than summertime.

You live in Florida (like me). It's a piece of cake to book a Florida Resident discount yourself, online or by calling WDW. It's better than any discount AAA or an agency will get you! Just check this site or the Disney site weekly to see if fall discounts are out.

Magical Journeys just sent out a note that they can start booking 2015 beginning July 31. You can contact them now and they'll get you taken care of straight away.

One thing you may want to do is to compare the package costs with booking room only and buying tickets separate. There are some deals and I have always saved more booking room only. I think it depends on the situation though. I buy the 10 day PH NE tickets and just use a few days here and there. MJ can probably tell you what's best for you.
