I'm looking at booking my May 2018 trip (the prices have finally been released) but we had our hearts set on POR and it is showing as quite a bit more expensive than the other moderates right now - why might that be? Has it become more popular than the others? It is really stretching our budget....do they ever have spring time discounts in your experience?
Coronado and Caribbean Beach are offering lower rates due to extensive construction happening there.

Wow! I just took a look, and POR is getting quite pricey!
Yes, there are often some discounts, but not huge. We went early May this year and there was a room-only discount which did help take some of the sting out of the pricing.
