Hello.

Other than Flametree BBQ and fast food spots, I have yet to try a restaurant within Animal Kingdom park where reservations are suggested. Anyone have any suggestions on which restaurants to try within Animal Kingdom? If so, what did you order that was tasty food? Also, this will be a party of 1 experience later this year.

Thanks

I've done Tusker House for the character buffet. Typical character dining food.

We have tried Yak and Yeti and it was good. Our new favorite now is Tiffins! I can't remember what we had but it was way better than we thought it would be. Looking at the menu before we tried it we were afraid that we weren't going to find anything that we would really like. We went in thinking we'll find something, no worries! Once seated and looking at the menu we could not decide what to get! Everything looked so good. We both got fish and it was amazing. We have plans on returning on our next visit. Please try it. Don't think you'll be disappointed.

Our favorite is Yak & Yeti! I have eaten there solo many times and always enjoy people watching out the windows..ask for a window seat! The food is very tasty and there is a wide variety. The pot stickers appetizer is delish and save room for the fried wonton dessert with pineapple and ice cream....hmmmm....just made myself hungry!

We've done breakfast and dinner at Tusker House, and enjoyed both. There is a lot of "regular buffet" food, and a good selection of different and unique food. A good fit for our family.

Yak & Yeti is one of our favorites - we eat there often and really like it. Tusker House is pretty good, but still just a buffet. We have not yet gotten to Tiffins, but most reviews are very good.

Yak & Yeti is our favorite! Have had many delicious meals there. The Fried Wonton dessert alone is to die for :eat:

I always eat at Pizzafari, but if you want a sitdown meal, I would suggest going to AKL. There are several restaurants there that are worth the trip. If you really want to stay in the park, Tusker House has been great every time I've been there.

I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

I like the zebra. They are easiest to catch if they are sleeping.

Tiffin’s, hands down. Cool off in the lounge ahead of time. Then have a great meal with great service. Octopus appetizer is definitely worth trying.

We had a very enjoyable meal at Tusker House and we all loved our sit down meal at Yak & Yeti. This was a first time for us and we can't wait to do it again. Servers were courteous and the food was quick and delicious. We were absolutely not rushed either. We also are at Rainforest Cafe (a normal for our trips) but this trip the service was so ridiculously slow we ended up missing a meet and greet and a FP. Service was also not the greatest either. I have eaten at numerous Rainforest Cafes in other cities and the AK location is definitely subpar.

Here was our review of Tiffins:

We (3 adults) ate at Tiffins for dinner as part of the ROL dinner package. Appetizers - bread service, Octopus and artisan cheese plate. Meal - seared scallops, roasted vegetable curry and swordfish. Dessert - we all had the key lime cake.

The atmosphere is quite relaxing, it truly is an oasis. Staff was excellent, but they really are pushing the very large wine menu. The food was excellent. Well prepared and wonderfully presented. Pricey would be the understatement.

As a once in a while place for dinner most certainly - especially for a ROL dinner package.

We enjoy Flame Tree Barbeque https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/animal-kingdom/flame-tree-barbecue/ .
the line is usually busy but we found followin the step path past the first few eating shelters behind the building, we end up is a less crowded or empty spot overlooking the water and Expedition Everest across the way. Good food and a great rest and relax lunch.
