Since we have some new people going with us, we are going to try to get some hard to get reservations such as dinner in the castle and at Be Our Guest. Can I make reservations for a large group online (around 17 people) or will I have to call? I will probably have more luck if I can do it online.

Wouldn't be surprised if you had to break that large a group up. How will 17 people even begin to communicate at one table? We went with 11 one year and that was a bit much for us. Next visit we had 12 and did 2 tables and everyone got to eat with a different group of people each night. We really loved the rotating dining opinion the 2 tables afforded us!

The way it was last year (and I think it's still true) is you can make reservations for up to 15 online. Parties larger than that you have to call and work through someone at Disney. We've gone with large groups many times - one year 21 of us. We never tried to eat that Castle or BOG, but there are a number of restaurants on property where you can all sit together. Now and then we had to sit at 2 tables that were close to each other. Places like Boma and 'OHana can handle larger groups if you can manage a reservation with them! Have a great trip!
Maybe I will do two parties online for Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest. Then I can just call for the others and get one big group. I just don't know what will happen if I get one group and then can't get the other in.
