I am trying to decide if I want to have a couple of sit down meals during my alone time at Disney World. If you had a dream trip to yourself, where would you eat and why? Please say if it would be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Breakfast: Grand Floridian Cafe for the French toast with Vanilla butter. Yum!
Spend the day at the Grand Floridian Senses spa and indulge (sparkling wine, chocolate, snacks)
Tea at the Grand Floridian
Dinner: EPCOT French pavilion Monsiour Paul late dinner and Illuminations

That would be my perfect alone day!

When I am alone, I always eat at Teppan Edo in Japan. I like talking with the other guests at the table. It has always been a fun experience. Good food. Good people. And that way I don’t really have to eat alone. Usually do a late lunch. But could be lunch or dinner. And I’ve eaten at a few bars in the restaurants solo. Rainforest bar. 50’s prime time bar. Ect.

Rose and Crown and Tangerine Cafe (okay, not a sit-down, but worth a mention!)

I would do sushi in Japan and some fish & chip options as Hubbs doesn't eat seafood.

Sounds very relaxing. Have you been to the Senses spa lately?

Ok. I have ADRs for Monsieur Paul, Teppan Edo and Le Cellier (not mentioned in this thread, but has been talked about frequently on this board in the past.).

We are trying Marrakesh while the whole family is here, so I'll probably skip Tangeriene Café.

Should I try Cali Grill? It sounds like it is a romantic date atmosphere. Will it be weird if I'm by myself?

That's b/c we are the best Smile I think the food is good, not great. But, might be some biased views on that.

I think its very good. And you are kinda weird, so you'll be fine. Try it.

Post up at the Boathouse in DS, and get a nice view of the water for dinner.

I've taken about 15 solo trips, so I've eaten my dream meal-that would be my favorite. Sadly, it no longer exists. My "dream meal" was lunch at Cinderella's Castle before the Princesses were there. I always was lucky enough to get a table by the window, and so I could look out over Fantasyland and also enjoy the peace and quiet and general ambiance of the restaurant. And I remember one day when the characters from Peter Pan kept running around on the balcony, sword-fighting, and waving in.
Unfortunately I've had a bad experience with tablemates at Teppen Edo, so that's definitely off the table for me. I'd rather BE alone than to wish I were!
Grand Floridian Cafe is probably a close second to my favorite, but there've been several.

Lol. I enjoy doing everything else by myself, so why would this be any different, right?

I didn't know there was a time when characters weren't in the castle.

It's a bit spendy, but for just one you might want to splurge on Victoria and Alberts.

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow!
