DVC members should have received either an email or a letter announcing this year's meetings. There will be two; one in Florida at the Contemporary Convention Center, and one in California at the Grand Californian, both on Thursday, December 10, 2015. If you have not received the notification and are interested in attending either meeting, contact Member Services at 1-800-800-9800. RSVPs are required.
DW and I are attending the one at the Contemporary. Doors open at 1:30pm, Board Meeting starts at 2pm, and General Meeting at 2:15pm. A question-and-answer session will be held as part of the Member Annual Meeting and will be open to questions specifically related to agenda items and the proposed budgets. Additionally, there will be a reception after the meetings, attended by representatives from the Disney Vacation Club leadership team who will be available to answer Member questions one-on-one.

Excited that our trip coincides with this meeting! We are newbies and have LOVED using our points so far at the Beach Club, Animal Kingdom and coming up at Saratoga Springs and our home resort, the Poly!!!

I did not attend yesterday but did follow along on the DVCNews twitter. Some key points:
- Soft goods refurb 2016 for BLT, Treehouses, and AKV; VGC in planning stages
- BCV hard goods refurb projected to start in January 2016
- Hard goods refurb now every 14 years instead of 24
- New membership cards with expiration date
- 25th Anniversary surprises promised for 2016

I was at the meeting. They wouldn't tell us, but said to check the member website frequently beginning January 4th.
They did let one little tidbit out - - that DVC will be building new facilities at Wilderness Lodge ! (Which we've known for many months...)
Part of all the refurbs is that many rooms/villas will be getting larger TVs - - larger as in 55 to 65 inches !

Seems a bit overkill for the size and viewing range of the rooms IMO.
