We bought in 2009. The presentation was somewhat overwhelming. I forgot half of what was said. We had to keep coming back to this forum asking questions. I still don't have it all down pat, but we are getting there.
So far we did 2 DVC trips to our home BLT.
First trip was just DW and me in a 1 BR, lake view, that also had a partial MK view.
Second trip we had her family with us so we had a 2 BR, everyone enjoyed the place.
One of the best things about a one or two BR is that with a washer/dryer, we packed less than half of the clothes we used to bring. Another plus is that we would eat breakfast in the room, pack sandwiches and drinks for lunch, and could then afford a decent sit down dinner.
After about a dozen prior trips, we wish we had bought DVC years earlier.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Our home resort is the Villas at the Grand Californian. Now that we live in FL, I make use and stay for a night or two. We just stayed at the Boardwalk and I liked the room. So far our favorite WDW resort is AKL Kidani. Vero Beach is becoming one of our favorite non WDW resort. There is just something about Vero and the smell of the lobby. I hope you get to visit there some time.
