The waiting is the hardest part

We have always (since kids were very little and even know that they are HS and beyond) made a paper chain (strips of construction paper looped together) and we put as many loops as days until Disney. Every morning we cut off a loop. So exciting as the chain gets smaller and smaller. and then its the day we leave!!!

I love the chain idea.

Look at photos of vacations past, knowing it is going to be yet another glorious trip!

Oh - and checking/re-checking my lists to make certain we don't forget anything! LOL :mickey:

Oh I could do that starting at the 14 day mark. ( would seem weird to randomly start it now.) I work nights and Matt and I usually talk in the morning when I get off. We could cut one each morning when we talk.

I'm a travel nurse, so I don't have much. It is so much easier to travel light. What kinds of things do you have on your list?

Maybe I could start packing - a little bit each day.

I ordered some trading pins off of ebay. Now I can look for them in the mail every day.

7 days, 15 hours (+/- 10 minutes) until takeoff and I have my MagicBands and my travel packet from Magical Journeys (Thanks, Denise!!)

Pulling things, a little at a time, to pack up, and seeing what I want to drag down with me. Just picked up some el-cheapo ponchos to keep in my pocket in case it rains (This IS Florida in May we're talking about!!!!)

Making a list of things that go in the bag last minute, so I can check them of before I close it up.

Driving everyone I work with nuts talking about going on vacation...and where!!

Yeah.....This is the tough part!

hmm, ponchos. Maybe I should get a couple of those.

I have my timer set for when I land at MCO. Maybe I should change it to takeoff. Then it will seem like the time went by faster. :P

You can always tell when my family is getting ready to go to WDW, because i'm way more active on Intercot in the weeks leading up to a trip.

Today I realized that I didn't account for the time change. Fixing that takes two hours off my countdown :P

Lol me too!!! I start getting stuff together at the 45 day mark. I start packing about 2 weeks out.

27 days 12 hours
