Looks like the folks at Disney may be starting even earlier this year. Right now the calendar shows 8/17, 8/21, and 8/24 as 6PM closings for MK. At this stage it's only a rumor but all signs are pointing to MNSSHP.

REALLY? Before Labor Day? With over a month left of Summer? This has all the earmarks of another blatant money grab that TPTB approved. You'd think they'd be content with record attendance figures & good profits from the theme parks in general, but nooo...
Give it a rest Disney. I did your party once, and it was nice & fun - but a "one & done" for me, and even if I were inclined to return, I certainly wouldn't consider mid-August as "Halloween Time".
Oh, and I just won't start about the price or crowds...

Wowzers, that is indeed early! We did do the first party last year (never again, but that's a different story), and it was PACKED ... so somehow at Disney, August is Halloween season.

When we were there in 2013, they had two MNSSHP and one MVMCP during our trip. The turnaround is quick and has been for a while.

Maybe not a rumor. I know this is from 2017, but I saw this on the WDW site "Select Nights August to October 2017". And, with F&WF starting at the end of August, it looks like they're pushing these fall events into August.
