Disney's Animal Kingdom will add a new banshee variety next week and has put a spotlight on the special 20th Anniversary Edition it introduced last month:

As day turns to night at Pandora – The World of Avatar, the breathtaking landscape transforms into a bioluminescent wonderland that is truly a sight to see. This brightly glowing forest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s newest land inspired a limited release interactive banshee that flies into The Rookery at Windtraders on May 27.

The bioluminescent landscape-inspired banshee will be packaged with a display perch and a Certificate of Authenticity. It contains authentic sounds and includes three ranges of motion – mouth, head, and wings – that are controlled by hand.
Windtraders currently offers 11 colors of banshees, including one created for the 20th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This limited release banshee was inspired by a moss-covered wall found at Pandora that’s become an Instagram sensation.
It appears that the "bioluminescent" Banshee is mostly in namesake and coloring and will not glow much like its inspiration.

So glad we bought ours right at the very beginning when Pandora first opened. Those prices keep going up and up! We bought a green one and an orange one. And although my kids don't play with them regularly I think they will one day be something really vintage and "retro Disney" that will be neat to show their kids and grandkids!
