Hmm. Have not heard that one - but the way characters are going at this point, wouldn't be entirely shocked if things went that direction.

Personally, would like them to leave as is or just junk the land all together. Two off the shelf rides don't really do much for me - but you all may disagree.

From Disney
It’s a Prehistoric Party
Beginning May 25, 2018, DinoLand USA will be teeming with colorful new décor and festively dressed Characters.

Donald has recently found out that his ancestors were actually dinosaurs. And to mark this unexpected discovery, he’s transformed the land into a celebration for the ages!

At Donald’s Dino-Bash!, you’ll find more old friends than Disney’s Animal Kingdom park has ever seen before—including Donald himself, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto and Launchpad McQuack. You’ll even catch Chip ’n Dale in their all-new dino-inspired costumes.

They say summer celebration. They should make it permanent. Dinoland is cool but it just seemed out of place. The story with Donald makes more sense

So I wonder if parts of this area will be down when I visit in 3 weeks????? I have to assume that there will be changes or overlays that need to be installed.

So let me translate this Disney Speak for everyone.... "This is only a temporary Summer Celebration (unless it is really popular, in which case it will stick around for a decade)."

"Welcome, Foolish Mortals..."

Yeah there aren’t going to be any overlays or re-theming. It’s just a party taking place in Dinoland. Think: periodic music starts playing and Donald and his buddies dance around with guests. That’s it! Nothing permanent!

Totally agree about scraping and starting over. It's an okay area, just no Disney magic. My opinion, maybe because we don't go with small children, but I love most of the "kid" rides at Disney. There's so much that could be done.

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow!
