Ahhh....to be 10 again - first trip in June of '74. My family and my cousins troupe (11 in all) drove from Jersey. Remember I-95 was not done as we were detoured multiple times heading down - but we got there! The first ride I remember going on - and I have made it a right of passage since with my 2 DS' on our dozen or so trips - was riding with my dad on Tomorrowland Speedway. I remember waiting in line hearing the roar of all those little gas engines (that hasn't changed much!) and being a tad nervous as I thought my dad would be gunning this little race car right off the track! Of course I quickly realized you are not going ANYWHERE fast but enjoyed it then and enjoy it years later watching my boys zip around at those breakneck speeds....

I clearly remember, as a child, thinking the parking tram was a ride....so I will count that as my first ride!
my first ride was 20000 leagues under the sea. i still remember how i didn't think anything would ever be that awesome.

It was pretty awesome for a kid back in the day. I thought we were actually under water.

I think it is so awesome that you remember this.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
My first visit was when I was like 3 years old. My parents have a picture of me eating a Mickey bar. Needless to say, I don't remember my "first" ride. The first ride I do remember though is Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland. I loved it and always wanted to save my last E ticket to ride it.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
Week before Easter 1973 ... we drove from Jersey in two days.... checked in Fort Wilderness and met up with 5 other families that we camped with.... next morning took the tram from Jackrabbit Run to the dock and caught a boat to the Magic Kingdom .... first attraction with our Magic Key Club tickets was the Haunted Mansion .....

I remember my first trip to WDW, Christmas Day 1971 (Yup - first Xmas at WDW).
e
We arrived at park opening (missed the celebration), and proceeded thru the tunnel into Main Street USA. As we rounded the corner of Town Square, there was the Castle in full view.
After watching Walt & company on TV during Wonderful World of Disney/Color describing their Florida attraction, enthralled with all the Disney programming, and promised a trip from my parents was finally there! :cloud9:
It was that exact moment when my Disney "Magic"/(obsession) started.
As our family moved down Main Street, we decided to go thru the Castle & explore Fantaseyland first, as this was (in my parent's eyes) the quintessential Disney experience. As we were trying to figure out what to experience first, we noticed that "it's a small world" had a really short line to board. So we took it.
To this day, I make it a "must do" to ride "it's a small world" first, before anything else when I visit the Magic Kingdom, and fondly remember my parents who gave up a lot so that my sister and I could experience the wonder, awe, and joy of Walt Disney World, and Walt's Dream.
First trip, Christmas 1971.

I'd also say it counts as a first Disney attraction experience. The '64 Fair also had three other Disney attractions; Progressland (later renamed Carousel of Progress) the Ford Magic Skyway and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
But remember, Disneyland had already been open since 1955.
