Hi all, a question from having been watching the Disney app on my phone in the last few months.

Last time we went to WDW (2017) I remember at Disney Hollywood Studios that Rock n Rollercoaster and Toy Story Mania usually had long lines whereas Tower of Terror was normally a shorter line and it was even classed as a Category B Fastpass, so we always took it plus one of the other two.

Since then Toy Story Land and Galaxy Edge have both opened and for some reason Tower of Terror queue times have shot up to being on par with Rock n Rollercoaster. This is in spite of more rides that people may be in line for and Tower somehow having its FP category promoted back to A, which I would assume means less people get a FP for it.

Are lines just higher because the park is busier since the new lands opened? Or am I missing something else? Going to have to think very carefully about how to organise Fastpasses for Hollywood Studios next year.

Yep, it is busier with Galaxys Edge opening plus Great Movie Ride is gone which was a people eater (high capacity for a long ride). They were hoping to have Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad open by now for that reason but all their resources were redirected into finishing SW first. I think they still need another big attraction to calm the wait times down after all this is said and done. Just close the stunt show and put in an Indiana Jones ride

Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

Keep in mind that you can basically only make one fastpass for a ride at the Studios now. Any other fastpasses will be for shows so everybody is on line for any of the rides they did not select as their one fastpass.
