One thing I will say about AoA is that since it is the newest resort the bus stop at all the parks is as far away from the park entrance as it could possibly be!! This was irritating at the end of a long day in the parks walking probably 5-10 miles easily. Oh well, I guess I'd rather walk to a bus in Disney that walk anywhere else in the entire world :mickey:
MK was pretty busy when we got there. We rode HM and POTC which both had approximately a 30 minute wait. Next we walked around Adventureland and just checked out the shops and a few of the performers that were there. DDs wanted a snack and they were hot so we found them Mickey bars and then headed to Aloha Aisle where DBF and I split our first ever Dole whip Pineapple float. I have to say I see why everyone raves about these. They are light and refreshing-not heavy at all which is good when you're hot from walking in the parks all day.
After we were all cooled off we headed over to tomorrowland to go on Stitch's Great Escape. I don't care much for this ride but DDs love Stitch and they wanted to ride it. After that we checked out the new Fantasy land which looked nothing like that the last time I was at WDW. Dumbo had a 45 minute wait-no thanks! The mad tea party had a 15 minute wait so we rode those instead. We walked around the park taking in all the sights and sounds and just enjoyed being there until it was time for our ADR at Be our Guest!
I was really excited to eat here. We checked in about 15 minutes before our res. time and ended up waiting around 40 minutes to be taken inside. Disappointing but worth it once we were finished. We were seated in the main ballroom right next to the enchanted windows that look like it's snowing outside them. DDs loved that! After we ordered we went and checked out the side rooms with the enchanted rose and the life size music box. Our food came- strip steaks for DBF, myself, and DD-11 and kids steak for DD-8 and we really liked it. The sauce they give you for the pommes frittes (french fries!!!) is really good, and the vegetables were amazing! DDs loved them and they don't usually eat fresh green beans! We got dessert-we all ordered something different so we could all try them all. We were honestly stuffed but the DDP has dessert and we weren't going to just not get it. We tried the grey stuff (not sure why ppl rave about this-it's okay but nothing special at all), a lemon cupcake, and a double chocolate cupcake. DD-8 got a strawberry cupcake. We all took one bite of each and called it good. We got out picture taken with beast and left the beautiful castle. By the time we were done eating it was almost 2100 (9 p.m.-sorry, in nursing we only use military time and we decided to head out of the park before we couldn't get out due to the fireworks. We reached our hotel and got in the room to be pleasantly surprised by the creation the mousekeeper left us. She made an elephant out of the pillows and some towels and set it up on DD-8s bed and put her American Girl doll on it like she was riding it. It was so cool! She also made a toothbrush holder out of washcloths for DDs toothbrushes and put fish stickers on it and made fish out of washcloths and put them on DDs bathroom counter. We were so impressed with this!!
We went to bed tired but happy. :cloud9:

That's awesome about the towel creations! We haven't had any made at Disney for years. I really miss them!

Really enjoying your trip report. Glad your rainy day plans worked out & that you enjoyed BOG. Harder to roll with the weather changes now than before with the fast pass + system. I was excited over your descriptions of the towel creatures...do you have pics of them uou could share? Hoping that mousekeeping makes some for us next year. I think they are so cool.
