Not sure when they were announced but we went for the 1st time last night & it was incredible! blows MNSSHP away! (but much more adult oriented) It is going to be a regular for us now for sure. sorry Disney, something else Universal does better than you 😁

Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

I agree that HHN is a very well produced event but definitely NOT for children or squeamish adults!
Their are graphic scenes of violence, gore and dismemberment throughout this event.
Foolish mortals....you have been warned!

P.S. - We're going next Saturday!

Another quick question:
Is there a bus or something that they could take from Pop Century to Universal?
About how much would a cab cost for 2 people round trip?
What about Uber?

Can you buy tickets just for the Horror Night or do you have to purchase a day ticket and add on the event?

You can buy just for the event - and would recommend if it's a busy night to get Express as well.

What is express? My daughter wants to do this but I'm not so sure I'll make it through the night!!!! I'm sure this will be one good laugh for her watching me!

Express is the add on that lets you bypass the regular line and wait in the express line. In the past, it meant almost walking on to the houses... now many have caught on and we waited 10-20 minutes last night on average. That said - it's better than waiting 60-90 minutes each house. But it will add 50-70 bucks to the price of each ticket.

The haunted houses are very well done and it's a fun night. Be sure to get there right at open to have time to do everything.

Also, the rides are open as well and are pretty much walk ons most HHN as people are focused on the houses.

Well we went to Horror Night and it was an absolute "Horror." I am not a prude in any sense of the word, but we got there and had to leave after 2 hours. I can say Universal is definitely NOT Disney. The amount of people smoking was unbelievable. It was almost constant that someone was either in front of us, sitting next to us or we were just walking by someone sitting on a bench or a sidewalk blowing smoke in our faces. I was breathing second-hand smoke just about the entire time. I called Universal and asked if they had a smoking in designated areas only policy (of course I looked it up and they do) and asked why they don't have workers to enforce this rule. I was told that because Horror night is so busy there tends to be more people drinking and smoking. Really? I've never encountered this at either the Halloween or Christmas parties and those can be pretty crowded. If I had known it was like that, we wouldn't have gone.

No, and they do not pretend to be.

Horror Nights is not for the faint of heart in many aspects. There is more than one reason it is PG13 (even though some bring kids younger)

Personally, I love HHN and try to go yearly. I will make a specific trip just for HHN.

I also love MNSSHP, but will only go if I am at Disney for another reason (I do not plan a trip around it)

They are 2 entirely different type of events, from 2 entirely different companies, with 2 entirely different demographic markets.

Sorry you did not enjoy it, but now you know and you can avoid it in the future.

Did you at least go to Diagon Alley to see it at night? I love it at night!
