All 4 of us are going to WDW together for the first time in about 11 years! My oldest daughter has not been for 11 years and it will be fun to have both our girls there. Staying at Shades of Green and they have 5 day park hoppers with the water park options.
There is only one night the MK has regular fireworks and is open late during our visit, because of Halloween party. I booked the fireworks dessert party and it was over $300 for the 4 of us. Don’t want to be crushed in the crowd since it is sure to be packed that night at MK. Stephanie and I had a great spot to watch fireworks- white tables outside of The Plaza and ice cream shop when we went last week. I am thinking of cancelling dessert party to save some $$$ and just grabbing table at that location. During a busy October night do you think I should keep the dessert party plans or go for the tables? It will be the only chance our oldest will have to see the fireworks at MK since I am sure she won’t return to WDW anytime soon, if ever.

If you do not mind claiming your spot up to 2 hours early then I would go ahead and cancel the desert party. It has gotten hard to get good viewing spots lately for the fireworks
I'm sure the fireworks will be very crowded - especially when the showing is limited like when you are going. If you don't want to do the dessert party, I, too, would suggest you would need to claim your spot early on and plan on staying at that location for the duration.

The dessert party works well, and as I recall, the clear that section beforehand pretty clear. You would have to get there early to sit further back.
The desserts were pretty good though. If you can swing it, I'd book it and forget about it. The day of, once less thing to fuss w/ it and you'll be good to go.
