I just for the first time watched "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad." I was struck by two things in the Sleepy Hollow segment. I'm probably late to this party, though.
First is that Brom Bones, Ichabod's foil, is basically a less-juiced version of Gaston. The similarities are remarkable.
Second, there's a creepy guy during the song sequence that looks A LOT like the asylum owner from B&TB. In fact, they're sitting in the exact same chair. It's so similar I almost wonder if the latter is an homage to the former.

Huh...neat!
The movies I saw in a youtube video I watched were all from the first couple decades of the studio, thus I could see doing it as a practical matter, to keep costs down. And before the advent of home video and such, with people seeing a movie only once or twice for years and years and years, there was little chance of folks noticing the duplication.
What I noticed in my original post was not a case of being able to use work again, so I'm wondering if it's more of an homage/inspiration to/from the earlier films.
