Yes, towels... Can they be too thick or too long? I say yes. There is a proper length and thickness. Not Motel 6 thick but not to the other extreme where you can hardly fold and hang them on the towel bar in the morning.

If you are wondering why this thought hit my head, it's because we moved into a new house and have swapped some stuff out due to colors matching etc., and I got what was by all other terms a good looking towel but it was too thick to actually use... And didn't dry well.

Don't get me started. So, towels and socks are now important in my world (podcast listeners will understand that).

We got a bunch of new ones from Kohls at Black Friday and while the size is good they are all bright colored (which I like) but are STILL leaving bring fuzzies all over everything even though I have washed them at least 10 times.

LOL - oh see - that is totally unacceptable. 1-2 washes maybe. 10? Heck no.

Don't laugh but some of my favorites I have owned came from Wally World Mart.

And yes, I realize it's absurd that I care so much about this...

It could be worse if you ended up with those postage stamp sized ones. We've stayed at some hotels where I've needed two towels to dry off after a shower. And the ones that don't absorb well at home end up being used to wash the car.

I feel your pain! I am extremely picky about the towels I use. I have been buying towels at Kohls too. They have one brand called The Big One which I do not like, doesn't absorb well and needs many washings before they stop shedding. They are now in the guest bathroom, as my policy is if you don't like it go home.;) The ones I do like are called Sonoma Life & Style and are made in India. It has been quite a few years since I bought them and they have held up well. And the best part is I don't have to "work" at getting dry.

I understand! I am picky about bathroom towels. I've told my family to stop giving them to me as a gift because I probably will not be happy with their choice.
I bought some at Kohls that I really liked-Chaps Home. They took more washes than I'd hoped to get rid of the fuzz but after that I was happy. Went and bought a second set about a year later, same brand, same model, different quality. I was so disappointed! Seams came unsewn and then unraveled, material easily snagged, the life seemed to go out of them in a few washings. Bummed that I had such a different experience with the same item.

I've resorted to using Fieldcrest Luxury towels from Target. They are the perfect thickness, don't shed at all, and they are cheap enough to toss and replace when they start getting old. I like new towels too, but I won't pay a fortune for them.

Although, to be honest, the very best towels I've ever bought were from Pottery Barn, and they were pretty expensive, but we have had them for almost 10 years now and they are still like new. We used them for about 2 years daily, then they became our guest towels, and we still use them for guests. I should probably just buy more Pottery Barn towels so I can stop buying Target towels so often...

Gonna check out the Target towels. So apparently this is a thing with other people. [emoji8]

My favorite towels ever came from target. Just perfect softness and no fuzzies

I received a WDW Beach Towel for a souvenir awhile back and never put it away for summer and have been using them for everyday use ever since. They are the right length and thickness. Besides buying them at the park, the Disney store online always seems to have them on sale or clearance at different times of the year. After washing a couple times, the lint from them are gone really and hold up well.

Congratulations on your recent move.......
