2013 Holiday Party Tickets On Sale

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" and "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" dates have been released. These are hard ticket events. Guests must purchase separate admission to attend. Walt Disney World limits the number of tickets sold in order to keep the crowds down and many dates sell out in advance. Purchase tickets by calling (407) W-DISNEY. Tickets on sale now.

Festival of Fantasy Parade Coming to Magic Kingdom Park in 2014

In honor of the completion of New Fantasyland™ in 2014, the characters and settings of New Fantasyland will burst forth onto the streets of the Magic Kingdom® Park in the new Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will feature fantastical floats, vibrantly-colored costumes and energetic performances. Featuring a cavalcade of beloved Disney characters interacting with Guests, the new parade includes characters from classic Disney animated films such as The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, Pinocchio and Tangled, along with the new Disney-Pixar favorite Brave.  An original score is being created – full of beloved Disney classic songs along with a specially-created parade theme.

Disney Parks to Kick Off a ‘Monstrous Summer’ With 24 Hours of Magic on Both Coasts

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 hours nonstop on Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the family travel season. The Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in California will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time marking the beginning of a summer of fun inspired by the upcoming Disney•Pixar comedy adventure Monsters University.

runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Adds New Race, New Challenge and New Medals

Building on the success of its women-focused events, runDisney is broadening the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort next year by adding a 10K and a new two-race challenge.  The Princess 10K gives runners of various levels more opportunities to run through Disney theme parks and receive a specially-designed finisher medal. And runners looking for an even bigger challenge can sign up for the 10K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday (19.3 miles total) to earn the inaugural Disney Glass Slipper Challenge Medal to go along with medals from each individual race.  The Princess Half Marathon Weekend, scheduled for Feb. 20-23, is one of two women-focused runDisney events. The other is the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend in January at Disneyland Resort in California.

runDisney Introduces New Race, New Challenge, New Medals to Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend January 8-12, 2014

Today, runDisney reached another milestone as they expanded the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend with the addition of the Walt Disney World 10K, the Dopey Challenge, new medals and the return of the popular Runner’s World Challenge. This next year, runDisney is adding a 10K race to  Completing the 5K, the 10K, the Half Marathon and the Full Marathon in the four consecutive days will earn runners the Dopey Challenge Medal. That coveted piece of hardware will be clanging around the necks of  finishers with the Mickey Marathon medal, the Donald Half medal, the 5K Family Fun Run medal, the Goofy Challenge medal, and the new Minnie 10K medal. Six medals for 48.6 miles over four days. Are you Dopey enough to do it?

Disney Unveils Vision for Disney Springs

Walt Disney World Resort today announced the multi-year transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs, a unique destination that will treat guests to significantly more shopping, dining and entertainment amid beautiful open-air promenades, meandering springs and waterfront charm. Disney Springs will feature an eclectic and contemporary mix from Disney and other noteworthy brands. Disney will share more details on specific experiences coming to Disney Springs in the future. Construction is slated to begin next month with new areas opening in phases. Disney Springs is expected to be complete in 2016.
