Illuminations Sign Up Now Online!

Muppet Mobile Lab Arrives in Epcot

After a brief appearance at Disney's California Adventure in California, the Muppet Mobile Lab has started a limited engagement in Epcot's Future World. The roving lab is part of a play test that will allow Disney Imagineering to try out advanced robotic, interactive and transportation technologies, mixed with human comedy talent. There is no certainty at this time whether the Muppet Mobile Lab will become a permanent feature.  The ideas could be transferred to a variety of other characters and locations, said Christopher Holm, Director of the principal technical staff.

Spectacular New Scenes Added to "O Canada!"

In September, guests can visit today's Canada as a major feature of the Canada pavilion in Epcot World Showcase. Titled "O Canada!", and presented in CircleVision 360, the updated film includes the nation's capital, Ottawa, with its Parliament buildings and Rideau Canal; the sophistication of Toronto, with its nightlife and film festivals; and Quebec City, the cradle of French civilization in Canada. The 14-minute motion picture is now hosted by Canadian actor Martin Short and Canadian Idol winner Eva Avila sings the music of "O Canada!"

Fall Annual Passholder Discounts Announced

Disney has released room-only discounts, at select resorts, for Annual Passholders vacationing between September 29 - December 23, 2007.  Discounts for value season include select Value Resorts for $59+, Moderate Resorts from $105+ and Deluxe Resorts from $+145 per night. The rates increase with the change in vacation seasons. Ask for code FEX. The number of rooms offered at these rates is limited. Goodbye MGM - Hello Disney's Hollywood...

In the Walt Disney World theme park famous for all things Hollywood, it's curtain up on the launch of new attractions, new looks, new breakthrough experiences...and a brand-new name.  Disney-MGM Studios will be renamed Disney's Hollywood Studios, effective January 2008, announced Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort.

Walt Disney World Ticket Price Increase!

Disney ticket prices for its parks in Orlando have increased effective August 5, 2007. A basic one-day, one-park ticket will cost $71 plus tax, up from $67. Pass prices for Florida residents and Annual Passholders have gone up as well. The new ticket and admission prices can be found here.
