Soarin’ Around The World Debuts New Ending Scenes

Wednesday November 20, 2024

Today EPCOT fans discovered a new (and long anticipated) change to the ending scenes in the attraction Soarin’ Around The World at The Land Pavilion.

You may recall the scene featuring a flight over Paris had a very “curved” Eiffel Tower in the previous iterations of this ride.  This visual anomaly was partially due to Soarin’s curved screen, but the tower would also look dramatically more bendy depending on which row you sat in the theater.  Now, the Eiffel Tower is much straighter on screen – however you don’t zoom in as close to the top as you once did.

Following the scene through Paris, you’ll also notice the final sequence soaring over World Celebration in EPCOT has been updated to reflect the construction that was done in 2023.  You can now see The Journey Of Water, the new Communicore Hall and World Celebration Gardens – with all the light-up rings in the pavement actually working!

Let us know what you think of these changes – and if they should have updated any other scenes in this attraction! You can watch the video below, courtesy of INTERCOT’s Justin McCarthy!

I have to say, I love that they finally updated this. Although it kind of bothers me that the ring lights in the ground of World Celebration don’t even work anymore like they do in this video. Maybe they’ll work on that next!
