New Episode – We Call It Imagineering: Building Castles

Nothing says Disney Parks like castles. Disney Castles are beloved icons, synonymous with magic, and a symbol of Disney storytelling, innovation, and artistry.

In the newly dropped episode of “We Call It Imagineering,” fans get a deeper dive behind the castles at Disney parks around the world with the Imagineering tea and hear how these beloved icons are not only stunning landmarks, but also the symbol of Disney storytelling, innovation and artistry.

Each resort around the world has a castle and they are instantly recognizable by millions. Episode 5 gives a breakdown of what makes each castle, complete with fun facts and historical details.

The episode also gives a forward look at what’s next. Imagineers are always looking towards the future. Exploring new ways to enhance these landmarks and thinking of the next big thing like Walt. In the upcoming years, they’ll be designing a new icon for the theme park coming to Abu Dahbi. And as Bruce Vaughn mentioned, seeing how the environment we’ll shape the design – possibly incorporating water into the design of the castle.

Also, for the first time, Walt Disney Imagineering is taking the iconic castle to the sea with our newest Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Adventure. Inspired by broader nature themes with subtle nods to princesses like Moana, Rapunzel, and Anna and Elsa, this will be a castle never done before.

I am one of the ‘weird’ ones who really enjoy the informational/historical shows about Disney and Imaginearing. Also, the video series for Disneyland 70th, with no one in the park, had me enraptured.
