I think a lot had to do with the pandemic, last year at The Contemporary, it was terrible. This year at Wilderness Lodge it’s much more normal and things are going wonderful again. Lots of smiling CM faces

Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

This thread is almost 2 years old. I'm planning to go in january, I can't go this year. My brother went with his family few months ago. First time after pandemia.

More than negative, they had some critical feedback. The virtual queue schema was kind of stressing. They never got a place for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, even though they tried at the announced opening times. The Genie+ schema with the indications of buying at the previous midnight or 7am was kind of stressing, too. He meant vacations should be to enjoy and relax; yes WDW had always long queues but it seems any year is worse or the new schemas are not making things easier.

Another comment, this time my niece, was that cast members were not as nice as in the past. They even saw a cast member taking off his costume and putting on a sweatshirt in front of everyone. That didn't happen in the past. Seems Disney University is not so effective nowadays.

That doesn't change my decision to go in January, but it may change my expectations.

I hate to hear that it is still that stressful. I really hoped and thought that by now, after a few years, it would be coming back around. They have made a few changes in the right direction but at some point, they are going to have to realize most people do not want to go on a vacation and basically do work on their phone to navigate a theme park and get access to attractions. You are supposed to make a reservation, show up and then just enjoy yourself.
