I know there is a lot of construction on the 50's end of the Pop Century site, as well as room remodeling throughout. How bad are these things with regard to sounds and congestion around the resort? I am already booked and 'signed in,' I just would like to know what I'm in for.

I was at POP when they first started the construction, and have been at other resorts during renovations, and I am always impressed with how well Disney manages it. I've never heard a lot of noise, and with construction only being active during the day, it limits the congestion and issues as well.
If you are concerned, you can request at check in for a room away from the work, it can't hurt!
