Doors have opened this morning officially on the largest hotel “re-construction” in WDW history. New layout, restaurants, shops, check-in, everything. I can’t wait to see the videos!

I did not realize this resort was getting an overhaul. I just booked our 2019 return trip and we are staying here so I am excited to see the updates first hand.

The original Barbados section has been demolished. This area will be part of the future Disney's Riviera resort (a Disney Vacation Club location).
Trinidad South is the new Barbados while Trinidad North is now just Trinidad.
