I am staying at the Caribbean Beach in December. I know that this resort is sectioned off by different Caribbean island. Is there a specific section that is "nicer" than any of the others. I know that there are people that talk about "up-grading" at a resort. What is why I bring this topic up. Thanks for your input

All sections are designed the same, except for Trinidad South - that is the Pirate Rooms. As far as the other islands, it's location location location. All of Trinidad North and three buildings in Martinque are preferred rooms. This is because they are closer to the main pool / food court (Old Port Royale).
My preference has always been Jamaica. It is a short walk over the bridge to OPR while still a standard room (ie: not paying for preferred).
They are currently upgrading the rooms, I've heard they are starting in Jamaica but I'm guessing everyone will be trying to snag those refurbished rooms.
