Does Disney have restrictions to you hanging things in your window (assuming it's nothing that is distasteful or will damage the window.)

We put Halloween gel clings in our window when we were at CBR in October last year. I then left a note for mousekeeping to please leave them for the next guest. I hope they did and the next person after us enjoyed them as much as we did.:magic:

I've seen tons of this at POP and it's adorable!

I feel like they should have a contest or something Smile :mickey: Smile

Putting my hotelier hat on. No they wouldn't have left them. In the business hotel rooms are setup to a standard configuration between guests. The configuration is usually written out for the housekeepers who are expected to follow the setup. People expect to see a pristine room when they checkin and no evidence of the previous occupants.

It's a very nice idea. The main caveat is to be sure not to use things like tape that could mar or damage surfaces or leave marks on windows that require extra cleaning. Hotels can and sometimes do add a charge if that occurs.

And help the incoming guest out by taking the decorations down when you leave. It will save housekeeping time and mean the next guest might get their room earlier.

We normally go the week before christmas and send a tree down then carry ornaments and such with us so we arn't missing out on decorations while were not at home. The other guests seemed to like seeing the trees up at night when they were walking back from the parks. Please be nice though if you decorate and clean up as much as possible afterwards.

I was just going to ask the question about leaving them for the next guest...lol I'm going in October and I wanted to put up halloween things in the window. I was hoping they would leave them up, but then I thought maybe the next guest would think the room wasn't cleaned by Mousekeeping... :mickey:

Been there, done that and going back!!! See ya real soon !!!

It's not so much about not thinking it's clean as wanting to feel that this their room. Things left by other guests feels like it's still the previous occupant's room. So everything from the previous occupant is taken out and either in lost and found or thrown in the trash. It's better to take everything down when you leave.
