Disney's Yacht and Beach Club has begun construction on new Pool Side Cabanas.

The new amenity will reportedly be priced at $199 for a full day or $129 tax for a half day (excluding tax) and include soda, water, and a fruit basket.

The new offering is scheduled to open Mid-March 2019 and can be booked via Walt Disney World activities (407-WDW-PLAY).

Interesting. I wonder if that's the construction we saw at the pool there a few weeks ago. I'm surprised the cabanas haven't come here sooner!

I recently read about the cabanas at Contemporary and Grand Floridian. It stated that ANY Disney resort guest could rent those cabanas, thus allowing those guests to use the pool even if they aren’t guests of those two resorts. Wondering if the same will be true for the new cabanas at Beach and Yacht since they are so strict about that pool.

This IS interesting but, since we'll be at The Beach Club next week, I'm wondering if the construction is going to be a disruption for us?

The Disney World website says that cabanas at Yacht & Beach are only available to guests of those two resorts.

Are these located near the sand bar pool, where we saw some work being done in December? I would be OK with having cabanas in that area. There is a good sized seating are full of lounge chairs between the main building and the pool - I hope they are not going there. I think that would spoil the ambience and the view as you are walking to the pool from the Beach Club.

Has anyone got photos of the new cabana area? Did existing seating get removed, or did they just use the new area we saw being worked on in December?
