I was on the Disney World website and clicked on the link for the Boardwalk. It didn't say anything about it being closed for covid. Has it reopened?
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
Technically, the Boardwalk never closed. Some of the shops were closed, as well as most if not all of the booths/stands on the Boardwalk, and the 'Streetmoshpere" acts were not operating.
I am not sure what shops and booths have reopened, if any, but they just opened a new ice cream parlor on the Boardwalk. I don't believe I have heard anything about the "Streetmosphere" acts coming back yet.

The Boardwalk Villas (the DVC side) is open. The Boardwalk Inn (the "regular hotel) side is currently scheduled to reopen in July.

I broke down and booked a trip for their 50th anniversary. I've been planning for so long to spend my 50th birthday celebration there while they were celebrating their 50th, that I knew I would kick myself later if I didn't do it. I'll have to mosey on down there and see.

Just got back from a stay at the Yacht Club and walked over to the Boardwalk several times.
The Bakery and Trattoria al Forno are operating. Had a nice breakfast at al Forna and stopped in at the Bakery a few times during the trip. The Screen Door General store is also operational, stopped in there and got a neat Abracadabar glass.
Just missed it, but a new ice cream shop (Boardwalk Ice Cream) has opened where Ample Hills used to be.

Were you there during the evening at all? Is it worth planning an evening there or is it just grab food and go?

I looked it up on You Tube. There was a video from just 5 days ago. Worth checking out.
