I'll admit I had high hopes and was really looking forward to my first time at OKW although I knew it would be hard to beat my favorite vacation club resort - AKV Kidani. On the positive side, the resort itself it beautiful - just like SSR. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the meals I had at Olivia's were delicious. However, some aspects of the resort left me disappointed. First, the lack of quick service meal options. Not a fan of sitting outside at a picnic table in the heat with the bees. Second, from what I understood, didn't most (if not all?) the rooms recently undergo refurbishments? To be honest, it looked as though the 1-bedroom villa I was given hadn't been touched in years. Very spacious, but in need of some work. And where are all the hidden Mickey touches around OKW? I know I sound like a complete grump, but that's the beauty of all the choices around Disney I suppose- something to appeal to all tastes!
No matter where, all Disney time is happy Disney time!
A fellow employee stayed there and he wasn't impressed either.

I personally love it
The rooms are so spacious and it has a lovely quaint atmosphere to it
It had the feel of a Disney atmosphere for me
We are dvc holders with bay lake but as mad as it seems I would change to have the Okw as my main place in a heartbeat
Olivia's is a great place to eat and you can get to DTD by ferry/boat

MY family loves OKW. We stayed there our last 2 trips. We get plenty of use of the boat to DTD.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
