Has anyone ever booked thru Orbitz? They are now offering 15-20% off, even the room only special. Do you get a regular disney reservation? Do you get magic bands in the mail, etc? Also, you cannot add tickets and dining on their site, but can you call disney and add them later? Thanks

Disney more times than I can remember.
Have stayed at Fort Wilderness, Fort Wilderness Cabins, Caribbean Beach, Dixie Landings, Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter and Pop Century

Have you tried booking through Magical Journeys? They can find you good deals if they're out there.

23 times since 1993 and still counting

You'll have to read the fine print. I've only used Magical Journeys and I will only use Magical Journeys.

We booked through Hotels.com to get free rewards nights. When you book through Orbitz it does not automatically book with Disney, the people at the website then make your Disney reservation for you. We got a confirmation number from Hotels.com that is not the same as the resort confirmation number from Disney. I called Hotels.com customer service to get the Disney number, but what they gave me was incorrect so we had to call Caribbean Beach directly and they went into their system to find it. It was a hassle, to say the least. I wouldn't do it again unless we had more free nights through Hotels.com to use.

Edited: Forgot to answer the rest of your question. Once you get your resort confirmation number, you can enter it into the My Disney Experience website and then proceed as usual. You can add the names of people in your party, customize their Magic Bands, etc. We bought tickets separately and linked them to our bands. It was very easy after we got the right confirmation #.

Some internet sites add a Booking fee also. Recommend magical journeys or calling disney direct.

I have used a couple different Disney travel agents, but it's more fun doing it myself.
and some of the sites like orbitz will have some savings so it's fun to look in to that. I have done lots of price checking

I"ve used Travelocity and I did get a magic band. But I always waited a week, and called disney to verify my reservation... So I don't know if that plays into it.
