Hi all! I just saw something on YouTube regarding Ambassador rooms at the Polynesian Resort. Sleeps about 6 people which is the size of our group for our next trip. I have not heard of these rooms before and wish that Disney would have mentioned it on our last trip in 2017. We found great accommodations at Old Key West but nothing was mentioned about the Polynesian. My question is this: Where are these rooms located? in the resort itself or out by the lagoon? Are these the same are the bungalows? Or are these considered the Deluxe Studios? I have checked Disney's web site to get a better understanding of the rooms and the site does not list Ambassador rooms, only the Deluxe Studio or Bungalow.

Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

The Ambassador Suites are two bedroom/three bath concierge suites located in Tonga. I don't think they mention them or the King Kamehameha Suite unless people specifically ask. If I had to take a guess on price I would say they start at $2500/nt based on the 2 bedroom at CR. These have nothing to do with the DVC DeluxeStudios and Bungalows.

Wow, ok! It looks like it probably is a high request suite so getting a reservation for it may be tough to do. Thanks for the info!

Personally, I wouldn’t book the building. Its only 2 stories, sits at the base of the marina and suites on that side have limited privacy. The main path between the GCH and the west side buildings and luau cove runs within a few feet. If draperies are left open anyone can look in easily and balcony privacy is non-existent. On the other side the building has a scenic view of the parking lot and work areas. For the money I’d suggest looking into the bungalows for a much better time.

Well, that is interesting to hear too. Actually, I am considering booking two standard rooms and hope that the rooms can be adjoining rooms. But when I saw a video for the Ambassador suite it just looked like a better alternative. Maybe I will stick to the original plan.

Not a bad idea. My hotelier background here, you might want to ask for connecting rooms. Adjoining is a hotel term really meaning near each other not necessarily next door. If a couple of rooms apart is ok then by all means adjoining will be ok. Connecting would be next door if that’s what you need.

By the way, you’ll love the place. Hope you have a great trip.

This is why I love Intercot! Ask a simple question about a resort and end up getting some great information from multiple sources! You are correct, I am actually looking for connecting rooms so thanks on the heads up! We are planning our return trip to Disney for Fall of '20 but I have already begun the research process because I have always wanted to stay at the Polynesian Resort. If you have any other tips such as which building location to request based on your experience at the resort it would be appreciated!
