We did preferred room in May and were in the Casitas! Had a room overlooking the water.
Not sure how the buses run with the new tower but Casitas building #400s was the first bus stop picked up and the first stop coming home late at night when I stayed a few years ago. Its a short walk to the Dig Site pool and the main building but first on first off the bus was huge for us after a long day in the parks.
