Has anyone requested a certain room and had that request granted. I requested the same room we stayed in last year at the WL and am hoping we get it. It a room on the 6th floor above the lobby.
Getting a location, like a specific floor, there's a decent chance the request will be granted. Getting a specific room, highly unlikely since that means the person currently staying in that room would have to be checking out on the same day you arrive. Not likely, but not impossible either.

I have requested a particular room number once (also said any room in the vicinity would be fine) , and oddly enough I got the room number I requested.
This was at WL. The room was a courtyard room on the 3rd floor looking out over the stream. Then even odder is that a few years later we had a woods view booked, but ended up not liking our location and asked if we could be moved. When they moved us, not only did we get a free upgrade to courtyard but, we ended up in the same room I had requested a few years prior.
Even though it worked out for us I would not recommend requesting a specific room number. When I requested that room number it was one of my first trips and I thought Disney could move mountains. LOL. Your odds are much better if you just request a general area.
We love the rooms overlooking the lobby. I have gotten that location every time I have requested it. I think a lot of people don't want that location because of the noise from the lobby and WCC. Good luck getting a location you like.

As long as it can be a room overlooking the lobby that would be great. To me those rooms are the best in the resort. Opening the door each time leaving the room and seeing the lobby was amazing. The noise didn't bother us at all....we really barely heard it and we were there at times throughout the day and night. I'll just cross my fingers and wish upon a star
