We leave Friday!!

We've only stayed at the campgrounds in the summertime but my kids are begging to swim on one of our non-park days. Is the pool heated? It looks like it'll be about 79 on our first off day. That's too cold to swim in TN, but what about FL? I'm hoping that if we swim around 3pm, it will be warmest. I'm not as concerned about the water as walking back to the site.

In every Disney resort we've stayed in the pools were heated, my son always swam in December.

The pools are heated so as long as you can stand the trip into and out of the pool it's usually comfortable enough to swim. Keep a peak on the weather forecast, thread, though.

We were there last month and even on the cooler days there were kids swimming in the main pool as well as the quiet pools.

There's a difference between the temperature between
Warm enough that kids are willing to swim
and
Warm enough that adults look for an oportunity to swim.

The resort pools an water park pools are heated at WDW.

y son summed it up as, the water is warm enough to be in the pool but the air is cold when you get out of the water so we don't hang aroun the pool wet and cold.

My family of water babies ALWAYS swim at Fort Wildrness when they are there in December.

A bright day that gets into the low 80s can feel better at the pool than standing in line at a theme park.

Hi Susan,

We've stayed at the Fort in December and February, and while it's not comfortable to hang around poolside without changing your clothes, the water has always been warm enough that swimming for us and the kids has been fine. The shallow pool and splash pad are warmer than the main pool. Also, there's always the hot tub!
