Hey everyone!!

We are going to be renting an RV at the FW Campground in the fall. We have stayed at about 12 different resorts and they all seem to be the same as far as Taxi's being positioned near the lobby. We are thinking about taking a cab (instead of driving my truck) to the Poly for an early breakfast at Ohana's so we can then jump on the monorail for rope drop at MK and only have to worry about grabbing a boat to get back to the campground that afternoon.

So, while thinking all this through I realized I couldn't for the life of me picture where I would be able to grab a taxi at the campground. Do they hang out near the bus stop? How about near the boat launch? Is there a way to get a taxi to pick us up at our camp site? Would we be better off with Uber or trying to arrange a taxi ahead of time?

I know - there are a lot of questions and some of them might lead to more questions. Any help with this would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

They are most certainly not located near the boat launch. I'd call the office at the entrance to Fort Wilderness to ask how quickly taxis can be gotten at that location. If they are anywhere, I'd suspect they would be in the parking area near the main office though, it's possible that there isn't that much call for taxi service at the campground so it might require a call ahead for one to arrive at that location.

As Linda said, there is not much of a demand for taxis at the campground. So there is no designated parking area for taxis (that I know of). Nor have I ever seen a taxi in the camping loops. The CMs at the front desk can call one for you, and you would probably be picked up outside the reception area.
