Absolutely, WDW expects this and has buses running early to get you to your ADR. 7 am if my memory serves correctly.

Ohana's breakfast is fantastic, enjoy!

Yes! We took a bus to Magic Kingdom and then took the monorail over to Polynesian for our early morning reservation.

If you are worried about timing, you can always grab a cab.

I just went there on January 7th, 2017 at 7:30 am. I drove, but I was headed home after we ate.

Yes, you can check with the front desk to find out what time Bus service starts. It has been awhile since I did a breakfast, but I think Bus service normally starts around 7 am.

Slightly off topic, but if you do plan on taking Disney transportation, I would leave no later than 7:45 (probably earlier) for a 8:30 reservation. Remember not only do you have to wait for the bus and ride it to MK. You also have to wait for the Monorail and go through 2 stops before you get to the Poly.

So here's my two cents...

Last time we did b-fast at the poly (Kona Cafe) - it was an early bfast 730 am.

So we bus to the MK, thinking we'd take a boat or monorail over.

Just be aware that neither may be operating as was our case.

So what you have to do is wait for a POLY bus to arrive and NO, there is no official waiting area for it. We stood near the first row closest to the MK and waited for a bus labeled POLY and took that over.

This was our experience in June 2016. Even when we finished eating, still no resort monorail was operating, but by that time the boats had begun operating and we boated to the MK.

ALSO, ANOTHER EXAMPLE

The same thing happened to us in November 2015 when we were trying to get to Trails End for breakfast. We showed up at the MK expecting to boat to Fort Wilderness only to find the boats were not operational at that hour.

We had to go and wait for a bus labeled FT WILDERNESS. Again, you just have to watch for it, I cannot recall in this instance if FT WILDERNESS has a designated/labeled bus stop, but a bus eventually came and we were the only ones on it travelling from MK to FT Wilderness.

So, all this to tell you that if you do not see an operational resort monorail or a boat, go look for transportation at the bus area and if there is not a designated stop for the resort you are going to, look for them to stop along that first row closest to the MK. ALSO, there likely will be no one at the monorail or boat dock to tell you what to do. Let me tell you, it is a very lonely feeling when you are trying to get somewhere and there is no one to help you.

Good luck. All will be fine, just bank this info and fall back on it if you have to.

Have a great trip!

In reflection, I am not 100% sure about how we got to the POLY. I KNOW for certain that when we were done eating there, the Resort Monorail line was NOT running and we had to boat over. I DO KNOW that the story about Ft Wilderness is right. Either way, if there is no boat or no monorail, you may need to look for a bus.

OR I guess you could ferry over to the TTA and walk to the POLY, but I know for a FACT that I have NEVER done that....
