We will be staying at the Boardwalk in late November and would like to take one day to visit other resorts to see the Christmas decorations. We will not have our own car. What would be the best way to visit multiple resorts in one day?? Do the resorts offer any type of shuttle service just for short visits??

You have to use the regular Disney transportation but it should be pretty easy depending on which resorts you plan on visiting.
You'll be able to walk to all the Epcot resorts then I would either take the bus or monorail over to the TTC or Magic Kingdom. You can use the monorail or boats to do the MK Area (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness).
Then you can take the bus from MK to see Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I suppose you could then take the bus to Downtown Disney and use the boat to hit Key West, Saratoga Springs and the Port Orlean resorts. I don't usually visit those resorts for holiday decorations myself but I'm sure someone will know if they are worth visiting.
There isn't an easy way I can think of to visit Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs without taking a bus to a park or DTD first.
