Hard to believe it has been 10 years since we have camped at FW! We are in early stages of planning an October trip, so was wondering what is new?
This will also be our first time camping at FW without our kids, & the first time that we are bringing our dog! (We have booked a Premium Site)

I think you’ll find most of it is the same.

They recently upadated all of the campsites with new pads. They are considerably larger now. They also extended loop 600 to include some “lakeside” sites - really more like pondside. Smile

They have removed the old chuck wagon at the campfire program and have replaced it with a food truck that looks like an old camper.

They have also moved the golf cart rental from the bike barn to the front.

With the way time flies, that all might have happened more than 10 years ago! So, it. Ay be nothing new at all.

First Trip ¨¨*:•
Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground - June, 1974

Last Trip ¨¨*:•
Port Orleans/Saratoga Springs - March, 2017

Next Trip ¨¨*:•
Bay Lake Tower - March, 2018

And about 40 more in between....

Oh yeah - I forgot about the pool. There is a very nice children’s play area and an awesome slide.

They converted loop 2100 to campsites from cabins a year or two back as well.

Was in FW for one night last night. For cabin checkin, they directed me through the pull-through this time.

I also picked up golf cart under the drive-thru, which may have simply been a way to stay in the shade. The return was also by the cart check-in as opposed to off to the side as its been the past few years.

For shampoo and conditioner, they now have pump bottles in the shower as opposed to the small bottles they dropped off each day.

The microwave also doubles as an oven.
