My family and I will be staying at the Yacht Club in September as the first family vacation for all of us in over 2 years, since my younger sister will be returning from her 2 year adventure in Australia and New Zealand. We are staying club level. Normally, we're Poly sorts of people, but with the construction AND it being the first full week of Food and Wine, we are staying Yacht!
Every other member of my family has stayed here, at club level, but me, and it was a few years ago. I've come across some not-so-magical reviews of the Yacht Club club level rooms that have been posted within the last month or two. Has anyone here stayed here recently, and what was their experience? Or the Yacht club in general.

We have stayed club level twice at YC. First time was a lagoon view..we looked straight out at the light house. This second time this past April we had a standard view. I won't lie I was very concerned about what that view could be. I had seen pics of some of those rooms looking down at a service area for the convention center and it wasn't pretty. I requested to be close to the lounge in an attempt to avoid that service area. We ended up in a great room that was tucked into this little hall way all its own. The room itself had a wall of windows as well as the patio doors and I loved all that light. The windows looked out onto the porte cochere and our balcony was right over the walk way into the convention with the garden area right there. We couldn't of been more pleased. We really enjoyed the lounge both times and have no complaints about the lounge, food/drink choices or the CM's.

My sister is there on her honeymoon now, originally booked for Beach Club, Club Level, but her room was tiny and not ideal. They changed her to a lovely lagoon view king bedroom and she is very happy with it-- though she is also a Poly person and this is all new to her.
The staff... less than ideal. They don't seem to be that knowledgeable. But if you're a vet, you can probably figure it all out and won't need much guidance from the concierge staff. The lounge itself is much smaller than the Polynesian's and the offerings are maybe not as fun and exotic, but still plenty of food and snacks put out throughout the day. It won't be quite what you're used to, but I think you'll be pleased with it anyway.

Thanks, guys! We are vets (I'm 28 and we've been going at least every other year, if not more, since I was 6 mths) so we won't need much help, if any. The actual view of the room, I don't think anyone really cares about, as long as the room itself is nice and clean.
Super looking forward to this trip!

We have stayed here twice. Love it. Staff was always very helpful. Only thing is they do not have many daybed rooms.
