For some reason I have this crazy idea to rent an RV and stay at the campgrounds this December.
1). I have only camped twice in my life (in tents) and it didn't go well either time.
2). I get cold very easily.
3). I don't know what to do with an RV
4). I found an RV rental company that will bring the RV to the campground and set it up.
Am I insane? Should I do it?

I'd go for a Cabin ... it isn't that much more (if any) than renting a site and an RV. You'll get the awesomeness of the camp ground, yet all of the comforts of a cabin.

I did enjoy the cabins when we stayed in them one time.

I'd also suggest the cabin. Depending on what you get for an RV, I would expect you will find the cabin roomier. Plus, you don't need to know anything about the cabin in order for it to be comfortable for you.
