When I made reservations for our Sept trip in May, I made reservations at the California Grill for dinner during Wishes. According to the schedule then, Wishes was at 10:00 and the closest reservation I could get was 9:20. Now I find out that Wishes that day is at 9:00. :( There are no reservations earlier than 9:20 available. Would you just cancel and make other reservations or just go early and hope to be able to watch the fireworks before our reservations at 9:20?
Also, this is Extra Magic Evening Hours that day at MK. The park closes at 10:00. It isn't showing when I look at that day for FPs but is on the schedule for late hours. Would we be able to get back to MK from the Contemporary and catch a bus from there to our resort, YC, after those late reservations?

They'll let you go up and watch them, no problem. Just check in a little earlier.
If there are EMH at MK the monorail should be running. Hard to say if the new schedule will be extended or not. The MK boat should still be running or you could walk over.

Keep the reservation. Arrive early, say 8:45ish and tell them at check in that you want to have a drink at the bar while you wait. We always arrive at California Grill early to have a drink at the bar before dinner. They will allow you up there early with a reservation. Then you can enjoy wishes from the observation deck without having to disrupt your dinner, or worry about food going cold while you are out watching. Enjoy!
