I just received the following and thought I'd pass along:
At this time, we are pleased to inform you that Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will no longer be impacted by kitchen maintenance during your dining experience. This means that our lively, all-you-care-to-eat-buffet with Chef Mickey and Friends is returning to its home within the Grand Canyon Concourse.
We will be there on Aug. 13.
Great new! Thats a must do no matter how old my kids get.

After the above noted closure cancellation, Resort Cast have reported that the maintenance refurbishment has been placed back on the schedule for Chef Mickey's.
The restaurant location will reportedly be closed Late November through December 2017. During this time, reservations will be honored and the same Character Dining experience will operate out of the Convention Center at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
As exact dates appear to be unscheduled at this time, Guests traveling during this window with Advanced Dining Reservations are advised to inquire upon check-in to confirm the location of the Character Dining Experience during their stay.
