Still not totally familiar with the (free) dining plan timeframes; is it typically offered during Thanksgiving week, or does it usually end just prior?

This year's arrival dates were Nov 8 - 19. So if you checked in by the 19th and stayed through Thanksgiving (26th) your stay would have been eligible. If you were checking in on Sat 11/21 you would not have been able to use free DDP.
