Beach Club:

Cape May Buffet
My mom had eaten here before, I had not. She said there was alot less choices and since she's allergic to crustacean's it limits her choices on this buffet. There is crab legs, mussels, clams, boiled shrimp, ribs, roast beef, mashed potatoes, veggies and mini desserts on this buffet. The food is okay but the service is really good.

Polynesian:

Ohana *
We had the refreshing lemonade for starters and the yummy dumplings, drummets, bread and for me the lettuce wraps which I liked and mom the regular salad due to allergy concerns. Next came noodles, veggies, steak, pork and shrimp in that order. Love that peanut sauce! We both agree, the bread pudding was off tonight and didn't taste as good as last trip. Still good food and good service.

Grand Floridian:

Narcossee*
This meal started off badly instead of the relaxed nice meal I'd hoped for...I gave us an hour and half travel time to take a bus to MK and the monorail to GF...after 25 minutes and three buses each for DTD and Ak, I called the front desk who promised to call fleet management for us. There was a very nice family from NY waiting also for a bus to get to their California Grill ADR at the Contemporary. After 50 minutes that family complained to valet services who said they would get us a cab on them to both of our ADRs. When we got to the Contemporary, the cabbie told us they only gave him that one voucher and not one for the GF, so we rushed to the monorail and managed to arrive with 10 minutes to spare. Mad This is where it gets worse. It was a chilly night and nobody wanted to leave the restaurant to watch the fireworks outside and were hogging the tables for more than 2 hours or so the management said in order to explain our wait of 55 minutes past our ADR. When we finally get seated our server comes by and gets our drink orders, a glow tini for mom and magic star cocktail for me. He asks how we are doing, I said, good now that we are finally seated. Our waiter says, well we are popular and think of me, I've got to be here 4 more hours on my feet.:shake: Alrighty then.....

I order the maine lobster bisque which is excellent and mom the romaine salad which is good. I also order the filet and lobster tail and mom the filet. Both steaks are cooked perfectly and are very tender. Neither of us is a fan of the sauce they put on the steak. The lobster is very good, very sweet and tender. For dessert we order the almond crusted cheesecake-wow, this is the best dessert ever in Disney worth the trip alone.

I'm thinking I may have rated this restaurant higher if not for the seating snafu, but we would visit again.

Epcot:

Akershus-1/2
This was a fun experience, when you go in you take a picture with Belle and those photos are delivered to you at your table while you are eating. Then Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel all come by your table so you can take pictures. Your waitress takes your drink orders while you help yourself to the cold bar of croissants, pastries, fruit and cheeses. The scrambled eggs, potato casserole, sausage and bacon are delivered to your table.

I think we would have liked more offerings like Mickey waffles, biscuits, gravy etc...but the food is pretty good. If you have a daughter this is an excellent way to meet the princesses without having to stand in line.

Via Napoli: * 1/2
I think this was my favorite meal. We shared the house salad which was light and refreshing and I ordered pepperoni pizza and mom Lasagna Verde. Mom's lasagna was good but my pizza was outstanding, the way a pizzeria is supposed to make pizza. For dessert we had tiramasu and zeppole which were very good. Service here was outstanding. Would return in a heartbeat.

Magic Kingdom:

Be Our Guest ****1/2
This was mom's favorite meal and is worth going just to see the beautiful castle. We were seated in the main dining room, but you are welcome to walk through and see the other rooms, my server pointed out a hidden Mickey in the Rose Room.

I ordered the salmon which was very good if you like salmon and mom the thyme scented pork chops. The pork chops were so delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned and a huge portion. We had the all natural lemonade which was very refreshing. No room for dessert here. Service was oustanding.

It's nice to see favorable reviews for all of your TS dining experiences.

I must admit that on more than one occasion, we've had waits over an hour to be seated at Ohana for both the character breakfast & dinner - and I know it is not fun. That, coupled with the challenge of getting to your ADR on time because of transportation issues would have made for a decidedly tense start for my family. Can't believe your waiter at Narcoosee's actually said that, BTW! :(

I agree, Via Napoli's wood grilled pizzas are SO tasty!

All in all, some very wonderful dining experiences. Thanks for all the yummy details!:marg:

I know, he actually was a good server though so I just laughed it off....I wish mom had ordered pizza too because her food was not nearly as good as my pizza

The breakfast potato casserole thingy is my DD's favourite food in all of Disney - she'd bring a tuppeware to save leftovers if they would let her.

Glad you had (mainly) good experiences!
